Chandler, Arizona
Cornerstone was started with the calling of two pastors. Pastor Linn Winters and Pastor Brent Richardson began to talk about the possibility of planting a church in Chandler, Arizona. The church began two years later, in September of 1995. They desired to start a church that would answer the needs of those who wanted contemporary worship, and be exciting for those who had lost interest in church. The dream was to incorporate solid Bible teaching with dynamic music and practical sermons.
This summer we will be spending time in beach communities in New Jersey. Many of these communities are busy with many vacationing people during the summer. Many houses of worship welcome locals and visitors alike. Some of the seaside locations we will be visiting include Lavallette, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, Long Beach Island and Point Pleasant Beach.
The whole Bible and every word in the Bible is inspired by God (Jer., 1:9; Mtt. 5:18; 2 Tim. 3:16).
God is one and is the only one God. (Deut. 4:35; 32:29; Isa. 45:14; 46:9; Ex. 20:3).
God is three distinct persons.
The trinity means that, within the unified essence of the Godhead, there are three distinct persons who are coeternal, coequal, and cosubstantial.
We believe that through the personal acceptance of Jesus Christ by faith, and asking Christ to forgive our sins, a person becomes a Christian (John 1:12; Romans 10:13), and our relationship with God is established. The acceptance of Christ assures us that:
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life pleasing to God (1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22, 23; Ephesians 5:18).
